and amended on December 14, 1979.
The board of trustees has applied for an amendment to the absolute
charter to clarify its service area by specifically describing the boundaries of
such service area and to add the language necessary to maintain tax-exempt
status under Internal Revenue Code §501(c)(3). The Office of Cultural Education
recommends that the absolute charter be amended
accordingly.

provisional charter was extended by Regents action on June 13, 2000 and on June
18, 2002, amended to add authority to also conduct grades 4 and 5 and, as so
amended, extended. The board of trustees has petitioned the Board of Regents for
the dissolution of the charter since the school is no longer in operation and
all taxes payable by the corporation have been paid and for approval to store
student records with the Northport-East Northport Union Free School District.
There are no remaining assets. The Office of Nonpublic School Services
recommends that the provisional charter of The Children’s School be dissolved
and approval be given to store student records as
requested.

provisional charter was amended to change the corporate name to “The Graceful
Guardian of the Child Montessori School,” to operate a grade 2, and as so
amended, extended. Such provisional charter was dissolved by Regents action on
June 27, 2005 and approval given to store student records with the
Monroe-Woodbury Central School District. The board of trustees requests Regents
approval of the distribution of the remaining assets of the corporation to The
Garden of the Child, Inc., a non-profit corporation with related educational
purposes. The Office of Nonpublic
School Services recommends that approval be given to the distribution of assets
of The Graceful Guardian of the Child Montessori School to The Garden of the
Child, Inc.

charter since the school is no longer in operation and all taxes payable by the
corporation have been paid. There

absolute charter was amended by Regents action on May 22, 1992 to change the
corporate name to “Audrey Cohen College” and further amended on June 18, 2002 to
change the corporate name to “Metropolitan College of New York.” The board of
trustees has applied for an amendment to the absolute charter to increase the
maximum number of trustees from 25 to 30. The Office of Higher Education
recommends that the absolute charter be amended

corporation by action of the Board of Regents on November 15, 1991 to operate a
college with the authority to offer the Master of Science in Education (M.S. in
Ed.) degree. Such provisional charter was extended by Regents action on June 9,
1995 and was made absolute by Regents action on September 17, 1999. On September
10, 2004, the corporation was consolidated by Regents action with the Waldorf
Institute, Inc., and the absolute charter of Sunbridge College, as the surviving
corporation, was amended and restated. The board of
trustees has applied for an amendment to the absolute charter to add authority
for the College to confer the degree of Master of Arts (M.A.). The Office of
Higher Education recommends that the absolute charter be amended

interested adult students on the study of the world’s philosophies and
traditions. The school would not grant degrees or offer credit-bearing
courses. The Office of Higher
Education recommends that a provisional charter be granted for a period of five

An absolute charter was granted to this
corporation by action of the Board of Regents on July 24, 1964 under the
corporate name “The Niagara County Community College Foundation.” Such absolute
charter was amended on January 29, 1969 by Regents action to change the
corporate name to “The Niagara Educational Foundation” and to restate the
corporate purposes. Such absolute
charter was amended by Regents action on October 21, 1988 to add language to
maintain tax-exempt status under Internal Revenue Code §501(c)(3). The board of
trustees has petitioned the Board of Regents for the dissolution of the charter
and for approval of the distribution of the corporation’s remaining assets as
follows: 1) convey fee
title of a vacant parcel of land to Niagara Community College Foundation; and 2)
distribute the balance of the assets, one-half to Niagara Community College
Foundation and one-half to Niagara Area Foundation of the Community Foundation
for the Greater Buffalo. All taxes payable by the corporation have been
paid. The Office of Higher
Education recommends that the absolute charter of The Niagara Educational
Foundation be dissolved and that approval be given to the distribution of assets
as requested.
