Report of Regents Professional Practice Executive Session Committee to The Board of Regents
Your Professional Practice Committee held its scheduled meeting on September 14, 2020. All members participated in the meeting by video conference call. Vice Chancellor T. Andrew Brown also participated but did not vote on any case or action.
ACTION ITEMS
Professional Discipline Cases
Your Committee recommends that the reports of the Regents Review Committees, including rulings, findings of fact, determinations as to guilt, and recommendations, by unanimous or majority vote, contained in those reports which have been distributed to you, be accepted in 4 cases. In addition, your Committee recommends, upon the recommendation of the Committee on the Professions, that 55 consent order applications and 19 surrender applications be granted, with Regent Catherine Collins abstaining in one of those consent application cases (Cal. No. 31742).
These recommendations are made following the review of 78 cases involving twenty-five registered professional nurses, nine licensed practical nurses, six licensed practical nurses who are also registered professional nurses, four certified public accountants, three pharmacists, two chiropractors, two licensed master social workers, two licensed master social workers who are also licensed clinical social workers, two registered professional nurses who are also nurse practitioners (Psychiatry), one architect, one dentist, one land surveyor, one licensed clinical social worker, one massage therapist, one midwife, one physical therapist assistant who is also a physical therapist, one podiatrist, one registered dental assistant, one registered professional nurse who is also a nurse practitioner (Family Health), and one respiratory therapist.

That the application of James D’Arrigo for the restoration of his license to practice as a Physician in New York State be denied at this time. [PPC EXS (A) 4]
That the application of Raymond D. Reiter for the restoration of his license to practice as a Physician in New York State be denied at this time. [PPC EXS (A) 5]

Vice Chancellor and Colleagues: Your Professional Practice Committee recommends, and we move, that the Board of Regents act affirmatively upon each recommendation in the written report of the Committee's deliberations at its meeting on September 14, 2020, copies of which have been distributed to each Regent.
