The Cultural Education Committee held its scheduled meeting on November 5, 2024.  All members were present except Regent James E. Cottrell, and Regent Catherine Collins who were excused. Regent Roger Tilles participated by videoconference.

Chancellor Lester W. Young, Jr., Vice Chancellor Judith Chin, Regent Luis O. Reyes, Regent Roger P. Catania, Regent Patrick A. Mannion, and Regent Seema Rivera also attended the meeting but did not vote on any action.

MATTERS NOT REQUIRING BOARD ACTION

Office of Cultural Education Spotlight: Overview of Events, Activities, and Upcoming Projects - Department staff will present updates on the OCE's priorities, including status updates on the gallery renewal and storage facility projects, enhanced family-friendly programming, and marketing efforts aimed at revitalizing the museum's image and outreach.

Interim Deputy Commissioner Michael Mastroianni reviewed an item on the Consent Agenda.
