Report of Regents Higher Education Committee to The Board of Regents

The Higher Education Committee held its scheduled meeting on November 14, 2022.  All members were present except Regent Susan B. Mittler, who was excused. Chancellor Lester W. Young, Jr., Vice Chancellor Josephine Victoria Finn, Regent Roger Tilles, Regent Elizabeth S. Hakanson, and Regent Ruth B. Turner also attended the meeting.  

MATTERS NOT REQUIRING BOARD ACTION

Proposed Amendment of Section 80-3.10 of the Regulations of the Commissioner of Education Relating to the Experience Requirement for Professional School Building Leader Certification [HE (D) 1] - Department staff presented proposed regulatory amendments to revise the Professional School Building Leader certificate experience requirement such that candidates must continue to complete three years of acceptable experience in an educational leadership position, but these three years would no longer require at least one year of experience as a school building leader.

Deputy Commissioner William Murphy reviewed the items on the Consent Agenda.
