Regents Committee on Higher Education Members

The Higher Education Committee held its scheduled meeting on February 12, 2024.  All members were present except Regent Susan W. Mittler who was excused. Chancellor Lester W. Young, Jr., Regent Roger Tilles, Regent Judith Chin, and Regent Adrian I. Hale also attended the meeting.

MATTERS NOT REQUIRING BOARD ACTION

Proposed Amendment of Section 145-2.1 of the Regulations of the Commissioner of Education Relating to the Eligibility Criteria for New York State Financial Aid [HE (D) 1 - REVISED] - Department staff presented proposed amendments to Commissioner’s regulations to provide that students may apply for a waiver to allow them to take courses outside of their program of study requirements to meet the full-time status requirement for TAP, and other state financial assistance and scholarship programs.   

Deputy Commissioner William Murphy reviewed the items on the Consent Agenda.
