Action Items
Academy for Jewish Religion: Application for degree authority: Master of Arts (M.A.) in Jewish Studies. Your Committee recommends that the Board of Regents approve a master plan amendment for the Academy for Jewish Religion, Yonkers, NY for initial authorization to award a degree, in support of the institution’s application to offer an M.A. degree program in Jewish Studies. The master plan amendment will be effective until November 30, 2014, unless the Department registers the program prior to that date, in which case master plan amendment shall be without term.
MOTION FOR ACTION BY FULL BOARD
Madam Chancellor and Colleagues: Your Higher Education Committee recommends, and we move, that the Board of Regents act affirmatively upon each recommendation in the written report of the Committee’s deliberations at its meeting on November 18, 2013, copies of which have been distributed to each member of the Board of Regents.
Other matters not requiring action:
Update and Overview of edTPA. Your Committee received an update on the status of edTPA implementation.
Regents 2014 Legislative Budget Priorities. Your Committee reviewed the 2013 State and Federal legislative proposals for advancement and also discussed new legislative proposals for the 2014 session.
Regents 2014 Budget Priorities. Your Committee reviewed the 2014 Budget Priorities. The proposals will come before the full Board at the December 2013 meeting for approval.
