MUSEUM OF THE VILLAGE OF ROCKVILLE CENTRE

Rockville Centre, Nassau County

A provisional charter was granted to this corporation by action of the Board of Regents on May 27, 1977 to operate a museum.  Such provisional charter was extended on September 23, 1983.  The board of trustees has applied for an amendment to the provisional charter to add the language necessary to maintain tax-exempt status under Internal Revenue Code §501(c)(3) and, as so amended, for an absolute charter. The Office of Cultural Education recommends that the provisional charter be amended accordingly and, as so amended, be made absolute.
