REGENTS P-12 EDUCATION COMMITTEE

The Board of Regents

            Your P-12 Education Committee held a meeting on August 9, 2010.  The following members were present:  Regent Anthony Bottar, Chair; Vice Chancellor Milton Cofield; Chancellor Emeritus Robert Bennett; Regents James Dawson, James Tallon, and Roger Tilles.

The Committee approved, by unanimous vote, the following items:

• Charter applications for St. Elizabeth Catholic Academy and St. Stanislaus Kostka Catholic Academy. [P12 (A) 1]
  
  
•  The appointment of Kimberley M. McLean to fill a vacancy on the Interim Board of Education of the Roosevelt Union Free School District to serve the remainder of an unexpired term ending June 30, 2011.  [P12 (A) 2]
  
  
• The appointment of Mathis Calvin III as Superintendent of the New York State School for the Blind effective August 30, 2010.  [P12 (A) 3]
