Approval in accordance with the respective recommendations contained in the attached summaries of charter applications.

Background Information
Summary recommendations have been prepared involving two charter actions. These recommendations are being advanced to the P-12 committee in August because both schools plan to open in early September, prior to the September Regents meeting.
Recommendation
It is recommended that the Regents approve the applications in accordance with the recommendations contained in the respective summaries.

Ozone Park, Queens County
The board of trustees has petitioned the Board of Regents to form a corporation to operate a nursery school for preschool children from three to five years of age, a universal pre-k program, a kindergarten for five year olds, and a grade one through eight elementary school. The Office of Nonpublic School Services recommends that a provisional charter be granted for a period of three years.
