Proposed Amendment of Subdivision 100.2(dd) of the Regulations of the Commissioner of Education Relating to Professional Learning Plans - Department staff will present proposed amendments to section 100.2 (dd) to the Commissioner’s regulations to require that school districts and BOCES include professional learning opportunities aligned to culturally responsive-sustaining education practices and pedagogy in their professional learning plans. Statewide Plan for Higher Education Update - The Deputy Commissioner will provide an update on the Statewide Plan and the first meeting of the Advisory Council. |

Proposed Amendment of Sections 100.19 and 100.21 of the Regulations of the Commissioner of Education Relating to Reimagining the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) Accountability System (Emergency Action) - This proposal seeks to amend Sections 100.19 and 100.21 of the Regulations of the Commissioner of Education to adjust the existing framework for the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) Accountability System. The amendment will begin with the results for the 2024-2025 school year and continue in subsequent years. The changes aim to better align the accountability system with evolving educational priorities and ensure a more effective approach to supporting student achievement, school performance, and educational equity across New York State. |

Proposed Amendment of Section 64.7 of the Regulations of the Commissioner of Education Relating to the Execution by Registered Professional Nurses of Non-Patient Specific Orders to Provide Certain Emergency Medical Services and Administer Pregnancy Tests (Emergency) - Department staff will present for emergency action proposed amendments to the Commissioner’s Regulations to conform them to Chapter 520 of the Laws of 2024, which effective February 22, 2025, amends the Education Law to authorize registered professional nurses to execute a non-patient specific order and protocol, ordered or prescribed by a licensed physician assistant to provide certain emergency medical services and administer pregnancy tests. |
